Clint is a passionate trainer, who thoroughly enjoys helping people improve their fitness level. Clint’s love for fitness training spans from his teenage years well into his is young adult life, Clint has consistently reached out into books, web sites, seminars, and even high level college courses to improve his knowledge of fitness. It wasn’t until his sophomore year in college when Clint discovered CrossFit, Clint instantly attached himself to this community where high levels of fitness were attained by people from many walks of life, Clint was impressed by the accessibility of the movements and the versatility of the trainers at his local CrossFit box, Clint knew right away that he wanted to do what they were doing, from that point on every day was like a day in the laboratory for Clint, and everyday hence he has doggedly improved. Since his completion of the Crossfit Level 1 Course in January of 2012 Clint has 4 years of group fitness training under his belt, and he is excited for the years of training to come.
In his spare time Clint enjoys fitness training, he feels that life cannot get too stagnant and always striving for new heights keeps him sharp and motivated. Coach Makenzie grew up playing sports her entire life. She played soccer for the University of Wyoming that ended quicker than desired. With the end of her soccer career she knew she needed something that still was competitive. Through the help of a great friend and trainer she found Crossfit. She was quickly hooked and has yet to look back.
Since starting she has acquired her Level-1 Crossfit certificate and enjoys coaching. She has ambitions of continuing her learning and furthering her certificates.
Outside of Crossfit she is a High School Soccer Coach and has done off-ice training for a local hockey team.
I had heard about CrossFit from numerous close friends for a couple years before trying it. My only regret is not starting sooner! CrossFit has enhanced every aspect of my life. I have gained strength, endurance and confidence that transfers to all the other activities I love to participate and compete in; volleyball, basketball, wake-boarding, kite-boarding, and snowboarding.
Coaching CrossFit is an even bigger reward. Being there first hand and watching the way it transforms peoples lives is just amazing. Teaching athletes how to incorporate CrossFit with healthy life choices and seeing their results is remarkable.
I have gained so much during this journey. Strength - mental and physical, knowledge, a family and community I can't imagine my life without!
Education & Certifications
I have lived in Wyoming my entire life. I was born and raised in Casper Wyoming and moved to Gillette during college. I graduated from Casper College with an associate degree in applied science in Radiography which later led me into Nuclear Medicine. In 2011 while training for a half marathon I found CrossFit. My first WOD was a scaled 30 version of the “Filthy Fifty.” I did ok until the burpees and then had to run to the bathroom to compose myself. I guess you would say I was hooked and never looked back. I have always been an athlete. I ran track and cross country in high school and ran several half marathons after college. However, I had no idea what an “all around fitness” really meant until CrossFit came into my life. In 2013 I decided it was time to advance in the sport and I completed the CrossFit Level 1 Certification. Being a coach is something I always dreamt of, however I had no idea how it would truly change my life. The feeling I get from watching someone master their first box jump to watching someone placing in their first competition is a feeling like no other. The comradery that I have found in CrossFit was unlike anything I had ever been a part of, being a part of this community makes it possible to achieve anything you put your mind to.
